Online Vs In-Person
On-line Resources for learning are readily available. But are our students spending too much time in front of devices? Is online learning too impersonal? During school closures, many parents agreed that waiting to receive personal attention from the classroom teacher took too much time.

Students thrive when they know they are supported. My students come to the door, eager to share their life events. In a professional manner, I show them that their lives and interests are important to met. I communicate with parents after each tutoring session. I follow up with their classroom teachers to create a better foundation for student learning.
What about Tutoring Centers?
Large Tutoring Agencies function as a franchise. One tutor is stationed with about 3 children. Worksheets are done in sequence. The tutor helps the children but does not create the learning materials. They have no others resources to draw on. At 3Rs Tutoring, I can approach learning from new angles. As a result, your child will not even notice that we have made a "learning detour"!
Hands On Learning
It takes time and practice for young learners to recognize sight words, use a pencil and focus on what their teacher is sharing. The modern classroom can be a noisy and busy place. Some students need a quieter environment.
When classroom teachers introduce new material in holistic ways, some students do not ""pick up" on the information. They may get overlooked because they are reluctant to ask for clarification. These students benefit from a more traditional approach. They need clear instructions and guidance. They interact more successfully when using math manipulatives, "real books", phonics and learning word families.
